Materials Science

Proprietary Corrosion-Resistant Alloys

Across our concentrated sulfuric acid and molten sulfur pump programmes, we independently developed a family of corrosion-resistant alloys — CSP-1#, CSP-2#, SNW-1#, SNW-2# and SNW-3# — engineered specifically for severe high-temperature acid service. This work was honoured with the 1993 National Science & Technology New Product Progress Award and is protected by national patents — giving every Arvin pump an unmatched material advantage in the field.
